FOC training for budding hair stylist

Hi folks!

As Chinese New Year approaching, it's a tradition for us to trim our hair or for some people to change a new hair style to usher the New Year.

And one day after cutting KY hair myself, she requested to cut mine(gasp you might be thinking..what to let a 9-year old to cut my hair??!).

Well for some of you who are regular readers of my blog or my confidante, you would have known I have been cutting my hair for the entire year when I had ZS as a baby as I simply do not have the luxury of time to queue and wait to be attended at the saloon with young baby on tow(no I don't have a maid and too shy to trouble my equally busy siblings who have tows of kids of their own).

So I thought why not? Since I crazy enough to DIY my own hair cutting, why not give KY a chance to try hair cutting? What could be the worst case scenario, run over to the nearest hair saloon to fix my half ruin hair(at most) and perhaps grant my wish to finally have a short crop who his easier to maintain.

To cut the story short, here is the outcome..better than I expected and in fact better than when I cut it myself since she could trim the back and side parts better than me :) cool risk taken has been a training ground for my FOC hair stylist from now on! What a good risk taken indeed!

What is the crazy stuff you would let your kids try out? Do share with me!

Cheers!
