ECX, Winner of Showdown 2011

Hi folks,

Is there any programme which you enjoyed together with your children(besides Disney and cartoons that is).

Lately, my kids and I are excitedly watching 8TV's Showdown 2011.

And, so happened it was Final Showdown 2011 last night (yea, i only watched as and when I found the time so did not actually set the time slot in my mind).

Last night after revising and doing homework with KY, suddenly my son shouted, "Mom, it's Showdown!!"  as he saw the Showdown 2011 flashed across the tv.

haha..he loves to sing along as well as watching the dance movement.

Anyhow, it was a really good show ...and the team which I supported(so is KY) actually won!

Yippee!

Five-member Elecoldxhot danced their way into the hearts of the audience at 8TV's Showdown 2011 finale at i-City, Shah Alam last night, taking home a cool RM50,000.
More news at Malaymail here.

Now, before the first Showdown 2010, people stereotypically has not very good impression on Street Dance. Neither do I..but if you look at how these people dance their heart out and the comradeship they have between team members and their competitors, it's a good sport after all (if you do consider dance as a sport).

And this year Showdown actually has quite a good mix of teams. From the all-girls team (PANIC) which my gal, KY, greatly adores to the traditionally-inspired street dance by the BounceStepper team to a technically-gusto Elecoldxhot of course! They made me have a different view on this activity ;)

And, guess what I voted for them too....out of my respect for their skills and passion....my first ever vote for Elecoldxhot..hehe..guess every votes counts rite ;)..haha..so yea..happy that they won!

Now, I am pondering and thinking how I could bring my gal to witness the Cheer 2011 at Bukit Jalil Stadium on 24 July 2011, another event that I am very interested in..since my school days...

Will reveal another story about the craze on dancing soon in coming entries..

Till then folks!

Did you have something which ignites or rejuvenates your passion lately? I did..;) from dancing..

Cheers!

Inconsiderate Hands-behind-the wheels

Inconsiderate Hands-behind-the wheels

It can be really annoying when we met with such drivers (a reminder to myself not to commit such inconsiderate actions):
1. Purposely or simply to save fuel by going less than 40km/j when the traffic lights turned green...pls. Do it when yellow light is on or when driving around neighborhood where there are kids cycling around

2. Double or triple park, blocking other cars just to save time, save the hassles of finding a further carpark spot
Don't you think others do not wish to waste time honking and wait for you to move your car away when they need to go off?

3. Parking or stopping abruptly at the corner after cars turn in. It is very dangerous as cars at the back won't know or expect there is car "parking" illegally or stopping as they wish abruptly in front of the turn

4. Cutting through or in localized way, "potong" without putting on signal

5. Cross over others' lane simply 'cos the lane he suppose to be have longer queue..dangerous indeed

What are dangerous 'stunt' you have seen?

Patience and love save lives on the road...

Everyone is someone's child, any life lost will certainly break the heart of the parent.

It only takes perhaps one more minute to let the car past through and it takes more time and trouble if any disputes or mishaps happened.

This is something I have always remind myself.

Drive safely. Be safe on the road!

Cheers!

Lessons Learned

Hi folks,

Something which I have been noticing about communication between myself and people around me.

Here are the lesson learned:

-When communicating with people, first invite them into your heart(with God already inside your heart at all times). To be at One with them and to be able to connect with them or put ourselves in their shoes.

- E.g. people wish or ask about you, do you ask them back how they are doing?
- Are we able to understand the message behind their words?

E.g. children. Do we invite our spouse in our heart or put only Me, Myself and I in our heart in our daily encounters and communication:- if yes, there's bound to be conflicts and disagreement as we failed to communicate as One and put love foremost in our relationship with others

What are the things you learned today? Do share :)

Cheers!

Do what you need to or......

Hi folks,

One day I was torn between two choices to make. And this thought came to me...

Do I...

Do what I should ...

-OR-

Do what I need to....

-OR-

Should do what I need to................
Need to do what I should do................

Am I making you more confused now?

Take for a simple example....
You are feeling hungry and craves for fried Indian noodle...
But, you are having slight sorethroat and cough....and you have decided to eat healthier, less oil, less salt, less fried food....more fruits and vegetables.

So what do you pick? A yummy fried Indian noodle...or a nourishing noodle soup or salad?

Or...you are feeling stress..and you think you need to listen to some soothing music to calm down...yet you knew you also running out of time to catch up on some audio talks which you have to complete before the due date.

So what do you choose? Do you choose what you need...or what you should?

Let me know what you would react or do in such situation...

Love to hear your wise wisdom way!

Cheers!
