Do you agree that being proficient in English brings better salary?
Well, my own experience is..even though not certain in salary but having master a language(be it English, Malay, any other foreign language) will certainly brings more opportunities....having an edge over the others in a way.
There was once I checked with the Head of the team over which technical staff he would send to conduct a training. Obviously the selection would be those who knows how to code and know how to talk as well. There you go...opportunities goes to those who are proficient in the language and have confidence in presenting. Opportunities brings to higher salary in many cases...
Not convinced? Read the article here at TheStar Online to check out how is the job market is like for those who are proficient in English.
Now...I do want to master one more language...how about you? There are more good than harm mastering one more language, don't you think?
There are times when I am feeling not-too-well, but lunch still need to be served (as I dislikes serving hubby bread as lunch if I could). What meals can be prepared within 20mins.? And these are "unseen" or "unmanned" 20minutes.
This morning I only have 20mins to get myself prepared, prepare lunch, prepare the kids (brush teeth, changed into their uniform, make their breakfast drinks)...so what I did at the moment in time is to look at my fridge and crack my head!
Voila! Suddenly i remembered my trusty steamer. So what can I prepare in my steamer within 20mins.? Steamer is a great tool especially when you don't have time to stand over the stove cutting and cooking.
So, here's what I have prepared for DH for lunch using the steamer:
Add on: 3 slices of Gardenia Butterscotch bread for breakfast..and pack the above in nice bento lunchbox (presentation would make up for the lack of taste or even time..do you believe it :D..great helper!)
Sorry no pictures...as I only have 20 minutes at hand to get all things ready!
So time for me to make use of steamer more...and cook up some new recipes with the trusty steamer!
New discovery for me is by putting just enough HOT water to cover the pasta and steam it for 20mins. it'll be well-cooked...pretty cool..so next time i could probably prepare my pasta this way when i don't have time to watch it boiling over the stove!
Hi folks! Everywhere Kay goes, papers and coloring tools would be her must-have companion. She can draw and draw everywhere she goes..here are the two art pieces she completed last night..angry bird and little girl(she said for mommy)..
Hi folks! Do you missed the food you used to eat since childhood? When I was pregnant with KY, I craves for food I used to eat when I was young. DH is even willing to drive me back from KL to BP(Johor) just to fulfil my craving(nope I didn't let him do so but managed to find a similar ones in KL instead). So during my balik kampung trip, before the wedding luncheon, we got up quite early for food hunting(look at the listless kids..:P who was dragged out of home early in the morning as well). My siblings went eating few stalls, tasted up to 8 dishes for breakfast. As for me, the first stall I went is this uncle who my dad used to pack lunch to school or me whenever I have sports practice after school. Here's his signature fried white raddish cake. Yummy..,,
