BF Journey no. 3

Hi folks!

I am very glad to have chance to enjoy a breastfeeding journey with my child.

At this moment the little boy is either on marathon sucking/"milking" or zz-ING.

Thus, at times I need to bf continuously for more than 20mins., at times I need to express to reduce engorgement.

Regulating-in-progress.....till more updates after 2 weeks..

Have a great weekend!

The little "Princess" in every girl

Hi folks!

One of the things i get to do before admitting to hospital (much to my delights and gratitude) is to attend the movie premiere for Disney First little girl "SOFIA THE FIRST: ONCE UPON A PRINCESS."

When I saw the blogger invites, immediately i thought of my little girl KY who would certainly loved to watch this movie! Albeit, at that time i had not gotten the confirmation of my c-section date, praying hard I could make it..and yippee YES! I managed to catch it two days before admitting to hospital! And it had certainly been a great experience for the two kids and myself as well.

Look at the small little stage they setup for kids and family to take a picture, complete with the princessy-accessories!

Here are my Prince and Princesses taking a picture with Princess Sofia the first. And below(sorry for the picture quality) the kids have their own twin seats together with drinks and popcorn!

I must say this is a rather meaningful movie and struck on an important message and lessons to the children.

It is also a music-filled animated Disney Junior television movie for the whole family (my kids can be heard humming along the tune throughout the days after the movie premiere!).

So do catch it with your children during the school holiday. It will be shown o, SUNDAY, MAY 19 at 11.00am on Disney Channel (ASTRO Channel 615) and MONDAY, MAY 27 at 1.00pm on Disney Junior (ASTRO Channel 613)

Alongside the debut of "Sofia the First: Once Upon A Princess", Disney Channel and Disney Junior will launch the DisneyChannel-asia.com and DisneyJunior-Asia.com/Sofia website featuring a fully immersive royal experience. Kids can get creative, creating and personalizing their own prince or princess avatars with the Royal Me game, dressing up Sofia’s room or just having fun with the many activity pages and videos available on the site.

So check it out and have a princess-y royal holiday break folks!

Cheers!

Day 7: Postnatal

Hi folks!

Yesterday marked one week after my c-section.

I have been feeling bit pain at the abdomen area(the c-section scar)...and tried to check the wound and found two 1.5-2cm opening! Got a shock and went on to seek advice as I do not want the wound to be infected like my second c-section.

Quickly called up DH to asked if he could send me to my gynae for checking. Was quite afraid I need to be sew up again..eiks..

Luckily after cleaning, checking, the gynae told me cos the wound was not properly sewn(uneven), this making the opening unable to close nicely. So he gave me some antiseptic cream to apply and said should be ok in one week's time. Thank God!

I was the last one in queue for the c-section thus have exceeded the last hour their usual operation time. I can see one of the medical staff leave at the last part of the procedure- the sewing part cos it's past their working shift time I guess...it was already 5.45pm when the sewing completed.

If you got a choice, do not schedule your surgery too late of the day...phew..they must have been tired and rushing to complete the sewing part which actually took quite sometime(I was on half body anaesthetic so can still see the clock ticking on the wall).

Anyhow will take extra care to clean the wound area and not to move around too much/too fast..

Till my next update cheers! :) hope by then..I am telling u the good news that wound is no longer painful ..for now still in pain..

Pre-natal Checklist 2- Shopping and Clearing Bills

Hi folks!

Haha..yea shopping..more exact ..visiting the Mom Expo at Midvalley to grab the last few necessities before admitting to hospital in two days' time.

Besides all the babies stuff: wet wipes, bottles, and my nursing wear...I have also managed to do some get some groceries(tomatoes, tissue rolls, washing detergent, etc) which should be able to last me two months..so that DH do not need to dash to get the stuff while I am in confinement).

What else, oh yes, setting all related bills to auto-debit for two months(or more) to avoid any penalty charges. Paid kids' Kindi and daycare fees.

With that, hopefully I would have a peace of mind and enjoy my maternity break :) talking about a "listing" person I am..lol, what are all these minor yet important task you cleared before going on maternity break?

Pre-natal Checklist- Have a date with my family

Hi folks!

Besides packing the labor bag and preparing all the baby and confinement stuff, one of the thing I wanted to do is to have a meal with my family of 4. We finally managed to make the trip to KY's favourite meal- sushi@Imperial Art Cottage, Sri Petaling(utilizing the groupon voucher I bought sometime back-30pcs of sushi+flower tea+pudding for 3pax at MYR38).

It would definitely be much different later when traveling with baby no.3. Lots more to consider- diaper bag, stroller/baby carrier, nursing room, etc..so this is a treat before the new adventures with bb no.3 comes along, a whole new learning adventures for our family..now should I even consider changing the blog name to Third Time Parenthood? Haha..nah..I think I will stick with the current ones but would love to redesign the banner later on ;)

Are there any special things you hoped to do/done prior to giving birth? It'll be interesting to hear from you all :)

Cheers folks!
