CNY coming..

Hi folks!

Chinese New Year is a significant event for the Chinese. With CNY approaching fast, you will see cars queuing up at the popular malls as well as at the wet market.

I love the festive mood in the air, not to mention the time spend with families and friends but I dreaded the traffic jam and the crowd at the malls and wet market.

So what would you do if you are in my shoes? Yes!!! Online shopping. These days, it is becoming more and more convenient to purchase stuff online at the convenience of our home. Besides being able to escape from the crowd, not having to look and pay for the parking, i love the fact that we get to compare prices and check out the reviews on the products we are interested to buy before making the purchase.

What have i bought online?

One of my favorite shopping items online is .......what else but kids plant-based formula! Usually whenever there is promotion or discount code, i would try to stock up the Oatmilk and get it delivered right to my doorstep, no need for me to carry up to my apartment!

Other stuff i have tried buying online is laptop bags, socks, undies, mop pails, groceries and many more.

One good thing  about online shopping is we are able to track the shipping, and also ensure that there's black and white proof of our purchase.

I have experienced delay for my parcel so i lodge a report and alas were compensated by the company. The most important part of online shopping is having trust. Once broken, hard to heal.

So folks, what cost-saving and time-saving method have tried during the CNY festive season?

Please do share with us here~

Cheer!

Mom, look at my teeth!

Hi folks!

Being on plant-based diet, many people would asked me how to I ensure we get enough protein intake? Contrary to what many people thought that plant-based diet do not have enough protein ...the reality today is many people these days have exceeded their daily intake of protein that causes a lot of negative effects on their health.

Plant-based sources of protein can be derived from many yummy sources like tofu, tempe, beans and grains.

And some people would asked if I give my kids any supplements? Yes, I do give my kids supplement like spirulina and natural sources from flaxseed oil, Udo oil and kombu for the Vitamin B12 and the omegas.

Here is a picture my son asked me to take after taking spirulina at night as it got stucked on his teeth 😄 I came to understand that spirulina is actually a very good source of calcium too thus I asked him to gargle his mouth to absorb all the goodness of it rather than brushing it away...

His To Do List and Trucky

Hi folks!

I worked in IT line where we practice agile scrum at work. And ever since I heard about agile parenting, I tried to practice that at home with the kids. To have an agreed to do list themselves to accountable for; which is said to be able to reduce the need to monitor or nag them to complete their agreed tasks.

So each children have 5 tasks to check off per day.

So far it's working, for the youngest one, one of it is to brush his teeth daily.

Besides that we also practice our daily Aroma routine together.

He has his set of oils 😊 on his favourite toy truck and I place the eo near where we will most likely to see and so that we won't forgot our aroma routine.

Note: While it's good to make the essential oils easily viewable and reachable..(but of course not within reach of your children 👶 for safety reason unless they are old enough to know about dilution and safety measures when dealing with eo). I will bring out his trucky when we are settling down for bedtime story so we would apply the oils just before we read our books together.

Also, I put my hormone balancing oils in the same place I put my skincare routine so that I would remember to apply them right after my 3-step skincare routine..my daily to do list as I aged..

What about you? How do you organise your life at home/work? Do you have a TO-DO-list too?
