Is Kit Kat Rubies suitable for vegetarians?

Hi folks!

DH is very keen to try the newly-launched Kit Kat rubies and I am keen to get a box for him as Valentine's Day surprise..

After googling it...I found the list of Nestle (which produced Kit Kat) products which are suitable for vegetarians. (updated till Jan 2015)

However since Kit Kat rubies is newly-launched(and I heard Malaysia is the first country they launched it!), it wasn't in their list yet.

So, I am writing to them to check it out. Will update you guys again if I am lucky to get their reply ;)

Meanwhile if by chance anyone of you have found out the ingredients, hope you could share with me.

Making my order soon as I confirmed it!
(UPDATE: Received a prompt reply from Nestle:
Thank you for contacting us at NestlĂ©.
Referring to your enquiry, Kit Kat rubies does not contain egg. All additives are of plant or synthetic origin.

Great! For chocolate lovers who are on plant-based or concern of halal ingredients, here's a good news for us!)

Cheers and Happy Valentines Day folks!

Vegetarian Sardin and Cheese Pizzas

Hi folks!

Here's our freshly-baked pizza ..dough just made with Tesco bread machine and ZS helped me to flatten it and add on the toppings ..

Bon appetit!

Refreshing Salad for Breakfast..yummy

Hi folks!

This is my type of breakfast...refreshing salads with passion fruits, oranges, lettuce, capsicum(red, yellow, green bell peppers), lotus seeds...i love to add some crunchiness in my salads..thus I often toss in some nuts :)

Kids have been asking for pizzas for few times but due to the rush at work and some weekends engagements...I haven't been able to make any...

So today I made vegetarian sardin and traffic light(red, yellow, green bell peppers) pizzas for breakfast. Also, made some lemon grass drink as kids and DH been coughing lately.

How's your start of Thaipusam day?

Hope it has been well and baby steps for achieving your New Year aspirations/goal are in motion!

Cheers!

Daily Rush Hour of Urban Working Parents

Hi folks!

It's been awhile since I update my blog regularly. Life been getting busier with two school-going children and lunchboxes to pack daily.

Even though it has been generally better since the switch of job, nanny, etc since last year...however I found the pace of life of urban working moms are really something that many mommies are juggling to their best ability daily.

Many times we find ourselves heart-broken when we need to leave our sick child to the care of someone else when they are crying out for us.

And how many times we find ourselves rushing not only ourselves but rushing our kids as well...

When I thought I am facing this alone, i felt like I am such an disorganized mom...yet this morning when i saw my neighbour who just had a young baby rushing her daughter to send her to tuition centre/daycare, oh well...i can't help but feeling.."So many working parents are facing the same thing.., the same stress, the same unwanted and uncalled for loud voices while chasing and rushing our kids daily.

While I really do not like using such a tone to my children, but when we are in a real hurry, bad habits die hard!

I really hope such daily frustration will push me harder to work towards my WAHM dream soon.

God if you hear me, please send me some needed help, opportunities and courage to realise my dreams..

Cheers (and thanks for listening folks!)

Overcoming negative emotions

Hi folks!

Another contemplation and lesson learnt for me as I went through some rather repetitive unhappy/negative emotions arising in me.

As I calm down the next day, I came to realized that this is a recurring incident. Just as how I managed to overcome the other recurring negative emotions last year, I decided that I have to identify the cause clearly and also take proactive action to go "over" or "beyond" this recurring incident.

And, I found out that others' negative or below par behavior/reaction only makes you stand out to be better….and vice versa your negative behavior will only brings out the goodness in others too.

Thought for ponder…and I will conquer this mountain of mine!

Do you have any mountains to climb/overcome this year? All the best to you folks too!

Cheers!

Practicing the good stuff

Hi folks!

I am still absorbing, opening-up and also "trying" what I would want to implement for this year, so-called my aspirations for year 2015.

I felt I've read a lot good ones…good practices, good stuff…and the bad..but hardly put much into practice. Thus this year, I have not really list out my 2015 aspirations clearly.

I just kinda randomly trying to implement it in my life daily whenever I get the chance to.

Last Saturday, I just "Let it go" (haha..no not the movie Let it go…) but just went ahead with the opportunity that knocks when my son challenged me to have a game on Chess. I love playing Chess, in fact I introduced them to the games when we happened to have found a chess set when SE had his drum lessons last round at the Music Centre.

And, having bought them two(yep, two sets) the first one..they lost a few of the knights and soldiers..maybe cos I bought a mini ones..so bought them a second set. After that, I've yet to find time or rather make time to play with them (guilty me).

So last Sat, after a late brunch with them at 11am, I went ahead to play with two of them (while baby ZS was asleep). Ignoring the piles of dirty dishes and uncooked lunch (when DH is almost coming back from work) and played to our heart contents!

Wow, I must said that is "out of norm" for me yet it's one of the recommended things to do as parents….to play with our children and to build memories…

So yep DH is pretty cool about having no "lunch" for the day or fix his simple sandwich lunch. In fact the good spirits continued…DH went on to play with the kids on their other game set..called Millionaire while mommy finally sets on her task of clearing the dirty dishes while baby ZS is still asleep.

A very fruitful Saturday for us indeed!

And that Saturday evening, we went to one of the mall and DH got his "toy" as well..happy dad!

So what about mommy?

What's the "toy" I'm gonna get for myself? Hahaha…no clue yet..

Anyhow, this post is to remind myself to implement all the "good stuff" I've read so far and make it a reality in our home!

What are the "good stuff" you've read and wanted to implement at home with your family members? Care to share!

Cheers~
