Is it good to make decision while in ANGER?

Dear folks,

I think most of us would have thought or even heard that it's good to keep silent(don't mouth any words)
and DON'T even make decisions while we are being ANGRY mode as we might make decisions which
we may REGRET later on? That's what I would totally agree with if not what I heard over the 988 radio station
on Wed afternoon.....

Read on..

A research has shown that..on contrary making decision when someone in ANGRY mode actually is a good
one for those who are often indecisive. As it makes them focus on what's really important and really what's they
truly feel inside. It makes them make a harsh, prompt yet timely decision instead of the normal dilly-dally or
over-analyzing and thus missing out on the opportunity or even making not a TRULY REFLECTING what they truly
WANT and FEEL like deciding to do.

How KNOCKED-OVER I am after hearing it...I for one is truly one who can be real indecisive for one....most of my
GOOD and OVERWHELMING decisions are made when I am being CORNERED, ANGERED or FRUSTRATED!!!

Ha..ha..so now..it does have a logic in it...BUT I would think it might not work for those who are decisive...my DH for
once is someone totally opposite with me..he can make fast, prompt and clear-cut decision promptly...but I would say
(in my opinion) he might make decisions he might regret when he is in ANGER mode....

So folks..how about you? Which one do you feel you are? Whichever it is..I hope this sharing gives you a KNOCK-OVER
as it did to me as well...

Somehow, sometimes..things don't always work on what "normal belief" tells us aren't they..haha..points to ponder..

Cheers!

Giveaway at Sandier Pastures: The Belly Band for pregnant and nursing mommies

I actually saw something similar to this SwellyBelly Maternity Belly Band and Nursing Cover I used to purchase many of my nursing wears, nursing bras and baby stuff earlier this year during my Chinese New Year shopping spree. So this giveaway showcasing SwellyBelly Maternity Belly Band and Nursing Cover from an online shop aptly called Nine Moons caught my attention.

What is a SwellyBelly Maternity Belly Band and Nursing Cover?

From their website:

Our SwellyBelly Maternity Belly Band and Nursing Cover is the fashionable accent every belly has been looking for. It provides coverage and support as your belly expands under the shirt and doubles as a nursing cover once the nine months are over.

The idea behind this design is so handy as we can use it while being pregnant and later on when nursing just by pairing it with our normal blouse..why didn't I come across such invention earlier? haha...so that I get to splurge on nursing attires maybe..hehe

brown and green garden

At Nine Moons, there are so many beautiful patterns to choose from, or we could choose a basic color as well.

WHAT'S UP FOR GRABS:
One lucky winner will get to choose a SwellyBelly Maternity Belly Band and Nursing Cover of their choice of design/color and size from Nine Moons!

HOW TO WIN:
Browse all the SwellyBelly Maternity Belly Band and Nursing Cover collection from Nine Moons and pick a favorite and leave your comment at Sandier Pastures!

How did your Raya break goes?

Hi folks, i think one of the common thing we loved being in a multi-
racial like Malaysia besides the multi- ethnic food would be the loads
of festive holidays of different races... From Raya, Deepavali,
Chinese New Year to Christmas...fabulous time to rest, recharge n
spent some time with family n frens..

So how did your Raya break goes? I spent the first n second day of
Raya with my in- law as my parents are back to Johor to attend my
cousin's 20.09.09 auspicious wedding day... We spent the firat day
resting n eating plus doing a bit of post raya shopping haha less
crowd but sales still on. Bought myself a pair of shoes.... For coming
weekend wedding dinner plus something not to high for everyday wear
carrying a baby and holding a toddler... Something noticeable i.e my
wardrobe changed dramatically after becoming a mom.

Second day, 21st Sep was my fil, sister n Godsis birthday.. So we had
a small celeb with fil...

Taking this chance to wish my two Sisters- HAPPy BeLatEd BirtHdaY!

Testing P1 Wimax

The other day as I was "shopping" for new internet broadband packages, I stumbled upon streamyx combo and P1 Wimax...as I was trying to find ways to trim down my internet bills since I don't use it "heavily" as before.....

So right now I am testing out the P1 RM49 package and see if it can accommodate a light user like me at home with 400kbps.

Anyone out there using P1 wimax or any other internet packages(in apartment) and find it works well for them at cheaper rate?

Hear from you..

Stay safety & healthy during Ramadhan

One day I was nearly hit(on driver's side) by a motorbike who was SPEEDING very very FAST...and I honked (of course!) like MAD too...Was terrified especially with my daughter sitting beside me...and luckily He was no ROad Bully and salute a sign saying sorry....

Frankly speaking, somehow I noticed people are driving more QUICKLY and "SLUMBERLY" during fasting month. Sorry no offence ya..on normal days I think anyone would do so too if they are lacking of sleep. I have seen a lorry driver pakcik fell asleep in front of the traffic light turning green and he is the first in the line..and of course people were honking like no other business...sigh...

But seriously, let's all drive safely and stay awake and sane on the road at all times not only during Ramadhan. Patience really pays for a safe and happy Raya celebration with families and friends. Each time I am on the road, I kept reminding myself that each drivers on the road are either someone's parents and/or children, so let me be more patient and give ways whenever it is legal and possible. It really makes my day when I met with polite and courteous drivers on the road...

Ramadhan is really a month which I salute to many Malay friends...even while I was studying we asked our Malay teacher not to talk too much(since they are fasting and cannot drink water) but to write on the board for whatever assignment they wanted us to complete for the day. I am one person who are not able not to drink water, and I recalled reading a blog where a breastfeeding mom actually manage to fulfil the one month fasting while breastfeeding her child...really salute to her perseverance!

Anyhow, Ramadhan is a month before Syawal(Hari Raya),so let's stay alert, practise our faith while staying sane and safe on the road ...and look forward to a Healthy, Safe and Fun Raya !

Happy Ramadhan to all my Muslims friends!

Cheers!

So how was your 09.09.09 day?

Hi folks,

I know I am a bit late in asking this.....(hehe,but I am gonna ask anyhow :P)..So how did your 09.09.09 day goes? For me it was full of good n not so good episodes...but generally, on average I would think it is ALLRIGHT!

What I did on 09.09.09? I had lunch(normally I will packed from home so I don't really get chance to eat with them) with my colleague 'cos I have eaten my lunch for my morning breakfast. It was a busy, rushy morning..with two kids suddenly throwing their tantrums...phew...Didn't even managed to make soup for DH. So all he had for lunch is Vege Ham rice and egg. Hmm...no time to even add his chilli sauce..haih...

So had to grab him something nice for dinner or snacks to compensate a bit! Feel so bad...

Anyhow..really feel sluggish..engine not working at superb condition, maybe 'cos my son still wakes up twice at night! Yes, he still does so now...and he refused any bottle for milk when I am around...only juice or plain water is fine for bottle. Otherwise he would want only me...for his milk milk time...hmm..and lack of sleep means my supply seems not sufficient satisfy my growing boy now..hohoho...so making him not sleeping well too I guess..as his tummy not filled up full tank... hohoho....

Anyhow...I hope you guys have a great 09.09.09 day and hopefully good days continues to come if not better days!

Cheers!

One month after graduated from AW Basic Training

Dear folks,

Today is exactly one month after graduating from Asiawork Basic Training(AWBT) and I am reflecting on how the training has affected my life so far. Whether I have still putting into practice all the useful and mind-empowering training on self-awareness...

I realised that even though I still have that little resistance over many encounters in life just as before, however this time round, whenever I face or acted on being resistant of whatever that is happening to me whether on changes in life, unpleasant encounters etc, I feel uneasy.

I know I am doing what I should in order to fully experiencing and living an ALIVE life.

This morning when a phone call reached me and asking for some kinda of "giving" on my part(which internally I feel joyful for doing it but my
usual reaction would be to resist and push away), this time I took time to ponder, look deeply inside me , do not allow my words came out from my mouth without truely reflect what I am feeling and thinking and wanting inside(as I always did). It works! At least this time I successfully listen and react in align to what I truly feel, believe and wanted to do!

I hope this self-awareness and the power to act as what I truly AM and wanted to do in life continues!

How is life for you right now? Are you doing what you really want to do and life your life as in being "ALIVE" at all times?

Carpe Diem to all!

Cheers!

Sharing my experience on Mom and Babies Online Shop- Mamaparadise

Dear Folks!

Ever since I became a mom, I started to scout for mommy and baby items which I can purchase online as it's pretty challenging to shop with a baby on tow.

One of the few online shops which I first came across and actually made some purchase is Mamaparadise (as you can see it's been listed as part of the online shops on my blog). Being a first-time mom and a novice in online shopping then, getting to know the online shop owner is quite ensuring for me to do my purchase online. The owner of Mamaparadise really has a personal touch to it. She not only gave me advice on cloth diapers , the dos and don'ts, and even gave me some suggestions and very good bargains. As she has children of similar age to mine and she is also breastfeeding, we sort of clicked to each other.

I remember I needed to get something urgently(I forgot what item it was..I think is Buds Shower Gel or something as KY's skin was rather sensitive and have slight eczema), so I called Mamaparadise owner, Clarissa and asked if she opened that day, so nice that she actually stayed near her warehouse and agreed to meet me at her shop. And THAT IS THE PERSONAL TOUCH that strikes me!

Thus, slowly I began to be more daring in my online purchases..haha and now I am an advocate of sorts for online shopping. I used to share with my mommy friends about online shopping and those few shops are the one I recommended. Each shops has its unique feature. As for Mamaparadise, to me it's unique in its products. You can find a wide range of products at her stores like flash cards, cloth diapers, breastfeeding attires, breastpump etc. And Mamaparadise often have sales and promotion as well which is the attractive features for tight-budgeted mommies like us right!

Another plus point is the owner regularly update us via her newsletter on new arrivals, promotion and news about her shop and kids in her blog. So, this shop gave me a very good impression that I made friends with the lady boss. A remarkable woman with three lovely kids.

So how was your experience while doing online shopping in particularly for mommies and babies products? Care to share your views?

Cheers!

Confinement Food Recipe Sharing - Part 1

Dear Friends,

I think the Best/Special Part of Confinement is the special confinement food we take during the confinement period. Honestly I would love to learn some of those yummy black pepper recipes taken by most Malays during their confinement....my DH would sure love these food..cooked with black pepper ..haha..

I would like to share some simple recipes I had here with my friends....there'll be Part 2,3..etc..shall I get to learn/know more other lovely recipes!

Ginger Egg Fried Rice

Ingredients:
Cooked Rice
Sliced Ginger
1-2 eggs
sesame oil
salt
soya sauce(optional)
Vegetables
(whichever as allowed in your confinement practice, for me it can be french beans, long beans, spinach or even asparagus - diced)

Steps:
First fry the sliced ginger. Once turned golden, break two eggs and lightly scramble it on the pan/wok. Next add in the vegetables and lightly stir-fry. Add in the seasonings, salt and light soya sauce(optional). Lastly add the cooked rice and add generous drops of *sesame oil and fry lightly before served and eat it while warm.

Note:
* sesame oil can also be added in as oil to fry the ginger. But this type of frying only suits post-natal lady and not anyone else in the family as it is TOO HEATY for normal diet..haha...
This is my favourite dish made by my mil during my first confinement.

Stay tuned for more...recipes..and pls. do share yours too...

Cheers!

Below are some pictures of Shone(DOB: 20 June 2009) with his bottle:

I shall update KY's bottle picture shall I find it...hehe seems that I rarely capture her bottle drinking gimmicks. And yes by now(at age 3) I think slowly, we would need to weaned her off bottle and transit to cup...

Here's a picture of them(sorry a bit blur as I took at night with no flash light on) having their milk at night together..their favourite time together and guess who won the milk-drinking competition? It is Shone!! haha..

When we first scouting for bottle for my first child, we have Dr.Brown in mind, but then later on my DH stumbled upon another brand called Bfree(which is at the time very few BPA-free bottle in the market then). We specifically looked for special bottle for our child then due to colic.

That was when I first came across the word BPA-free.

Then, when I am pregnant with my second child, Shone, Bfree bottle happened to be out of stock..then I stumbled upon another brand called MAM which is also BPA-free. I kind of like the design which allows the bottom to be unscrewed and clean. So I got that for my second one and it's been GREAT so far!

When we talk about how to safely feed our baby using a BOTTLE, I feel that we should watch them even as they started to be able to hold and feed on their own. Plus, we are told or read somewhere that we should never let the kids drink the bottle to sleep or have their juice in bottle to avoid tooth decay. So I actually have another special juice bottle(yes by Nuby and it is also BPA free) for my son, Shone who loves juices!

Another tips I like to share with parents out there, when you first get your sets of milk bottles, do remember to get the extra teats as backup. If your bottle has different flow speed (like MAM has 1,2,3 speed for different flow and baby's age, get them as well to avoid the hassle of ordering or scouting for one later).

For my two kids, they prefer fast flow in the second month as they are so used to the fast flow during breastfeeding when we have "letdown reflex" as most women tend to have more milk supply during the confinement maybe because of the nutritious food and drinks we have and the good rest?

So folks what do you think about bottles and what bottle safety measures you practices for your child? Care to share? Hear from you all too! And if you wanna win some cool prizes from AliceWonders and PhotoBookMalaysia, don't forget to send your entry for the contest by MomBloggersPlanet!

Thought and Sight of the day..

Once, during my lunchdate with DH, while driving back to office and waiting at the longest traffic lights ever..saw this herd or what should I used to describe a troupe of hen, cock and their small offspring..walking alongside the busy road looking for food....what a sight!

I should have taken the picture of them...BUT...the lights are turning green anytime...so well...just enjoy and saving the sight in my memory...

What makes me so "amazed" and "mesmerized" by them...maybe is the family closeness feeling I got from them..reminds me of my own family....oh ....

F A M I L Y as they says stand for Father, And, Mother, I Love You!

Treasure our family members and the close kin while they are still with us ;) And those moments we spent together can never be rewind or re-experienced ;) That's what I feel...Think of those childhood days we spent with our close ones..how many are still around and does the feelings still intact? ...Ponder of the day...

Cheers!
