Parenting tips from oilers mom

Hi folks!

Over the years I count myself truly lucky to have found a group of mommies who are into wellness, natural remedies, health and fitness through the use of Young Living essential oils and essentials oils infused products. Thanks to my son who had some health condition that makes me go around searching.

One night we attended a sharing session from oilers mommies who have been oiling 10 years back before they are even married.

Hearing about their stories, and learning along some tips are so cool!
Some of them also share how they have used Young Living White Angelica as protection as when our bellies grow bigger, there will be uninvited people who would love to touch our bellies without asking...haha..also when the size gets bigger we tend to bump into corners and edges. Such practical sharing! And during this pandemic, how we can use rose ointment (and for those of you in Canada/US market you can even use the animalscent ointment!) + eo to create a nose swab as protection when we go out...lovely and practical tips to safeguard our family during this time! The session started at 8.30pm till 10.59pm haha..so lotsa sharing and stories to tell! Are you all keen to hear about how to make use of essentials oils to support during this pandemic, for preggie, young babies (some of these mommies have been oiling their baby at birth to support some condition with the support and permission of their doctors!), preschoolers, and teens? My friends and I are thinking to hold a short sharing session maybe in Mandarin and English. Comment YES below if you like to join the sharing session! Cheers and have a lovely weekend everyone! Stay home and stay safe! Note: This pic is my older boy at age 5 with his newfound friend, an active and friendly puppy...being close to nature and all beings..

Are you drinking enough water?

Hello folks!

I find that I get more thirsty as I diffuse/apply essential oils as part of my daily routine. It's a natural way our body is trying to tell us to drink more water.

As we all might aware, essential oils can help us to detox, thus in order to flush out the toxins from our body, we need to drink more water.

So, I have the habit of placing a thermos of warm water beside our bed when we are diffusing eo while we sleep. My son would carry his bottle to his room and drink water as we go through our bed time story routine and diffuse essential oils like Orange, lavender, cedarwood, lemon (he would tell me what eo he likes to diffuse for the night), etc in the room.

When we do raindrop technique, both the recipient and the person who perform the raindrop for others need to drink warm water after the session as it is also form of detox with 9 incredible essential oils that helped our body to detox and align. And we have to stay off from caffeine and soda water for a week for best results.

So if you are also using the essential oils or consider using Young Living essential oils, don't forget to load up your water intake ya!

Cheers!

My travel buddies

Hi folks!

School holiday is here 🙌

Last weekend we went for a family trip and I will always pack along my Ningxia sachets and my oils...

Hubby was feeling under the weather just before the trip and I made him double packets of Ningxia plus peppermint, thieves and lemon sachets from the Premium Starter Kit. He said he felt better after taking it.

I did Raindrop massage for him(yep this round I chose to carry my Raindrop oils along as I have planned to do it for my parents and siblings in the chalet) and he slept through the night ...and well enough to enjoy the rest of the day and also drive home too..

My mom also hurt her arms(I think she has over-exerted herself by carrying heavy yummy snacks she has made for us for the trip) and I am grateful that after applying raindrops oils for her, she managed to sleep well as the pain was gone and she was even able to wake up early the next morning for some exercise with my dad and I.

During this trip...I can't help noticing how much my parents have aged..my dad no longer runs(I used to jog miles and miles with my dad since my teens...it has been our bonding sessions) as far as before ...and my mom as I massage for her, I can feel her bones ..as she gets skinnier as she aged...

Truly, we should cherish each moments with our loved ones ❤️ as much as possible!

To my siblings who were busy watching over our kids..Tq so much for pouring your love and  look forward for our next meet up and Raindrop session! 🖐

Cheers for our next get-together!

What do you take before your morning run?

Hi folks!

One of my goal is to sweat(and detox) daily. Being a full time working mom of 3, life can be really hectic and filled with rushing from one place to another ...

I love to start my day with a morning run whenever i could and before that I will take a big glass of my daily dose of antioxidants drink called Ningxia Red. It has all the power packed goodness of wolfberries (do you know this tiny red wolfberry has packed with protein as well?!) and berries goodness with awesome pure essential oils added..

Very often, when I am at work, I would only feel the need to have a cuppa around 11 a.m., yes.. this drink is able to sustain me that long as it has vanilla in it. Awesome stuff folks!

So do get yourself some Ningxia Red here (or leave me a comment if you wish to find out more about this healthy drink) to take if you like an extra boost of energy without caffeine and in a healthier way.

Love you all!

Cheers!

Tips for making DIY Spray with essential oils

Hi folks, do you know you can easily create DIY spray for all kinds of cases with Young Living essential oils?

I have created DIY spray for the home to dispel any odor for my shoe cabinet, bathroom, car boot and to manage bugs, ants, mozzies, cockroaches, etc.

The key ingredients to have are:
  • Glass bottle; yes GLASS and not plastic as essential oils are so concentrated that they can degrade and break down plastic! I have seen it myself that my plastic spray turns from transparent to milky color when i have leftover spray left in the bottle!

  • Your favourite Young living essential oils and recipe like Peppermint, Purification, Lemon, Lavender, etc (depending of what kind of spray you wish to create, you can find lotsa of recipes from Pin interest, etc)

  • Distilled Water
  • Witch Hazel or Coarse Himalayan Salt to mix the eo and water (cos water and oil don't mix well)

Note: Do not use those fine himalayan salt, else you will find your spray bottle got stucked and not able to spray anymore! Yeah, i learnt from mistakes too...

One you have all the key ingredients ready, be creative and have fun mixing your DIY spray.

Leave me a comment if you like to know where to get these good quality and awesome essential oils.

Or, you could also get a set here at a good price:

Cheers and have an awesome day!

Stay tune for my little giveaway related to DIY tomorrow!

Cheers!

Using essential oils on elderly or more mature user

Hi folks!

From many of my blog posts, many of you would notice, i often posted a lot about using essential oils as it has becomes part of my lifestyle; and i have becoming officially an "oiler", the common term used for people who use essential oils (eo) in their daily life to support their wellness.

Ever since the first time, i applied the oils for my son after he was discharged from the hospital at five months old due to respiratory conditions, i have been very eager to learn more about how these natural therapeutic oils from plants created by the Creator from above could help in the wellness of my entire family. And i chose Young Living for their Seed to Seal process; as I only want the best and purest brand to be used for my family. I have bought other brands previously but truly gasp at the ingredients listed which has very little percentage of essential oils and majority contains of alcohol and even sugar cane!!

I bought books on eo, attended eo talks, learning from many hard-core oilers and even registered for intensive course organised by Center of Aromatherapy Research and Education. Yep, i love learning and sharing what i have learnt and implemented!

During the last 2017 YL Summit, where there are 14 days and more than 6 free topics each day shared by very well-respected speakers in the world of essential oils.

I love learning and gaining new insights from all these experienced and awesome speakers and i try to make time for it despite my busy schedule. Albeit, i only managed to catch a few while i was driving, eating my meal, doing my housework. Learning enriches my life...and all these will come in handy when times need it.

Being a mom of 3 and a daughter as well...besides being very passionate on all things children, one topic which really stood out to me is topic on elderly as i see how my own mom has been aging a lot, so is my mother-in-law and in general many of the people who used to care for me. They are all progressing into the "senior" citizen" group and experiencing changes, both physically and mentally.

KY and her grandpa, picture taken in year 2008 by a very talented Photographer, Milin Kassim

Last weekend, i was performing raindrop massage for my close friend's father who is half-paralyzed on his left side from stroke. As i apply the oils for him (a shy yet independent uncle), it reminded me of my own grandfather who has passed away. I am glad to hear that his pain is gone after the raindrop session and he asked if i could massage his left hand too, and i gladly do it for him. I felt really glad and grateful to be able to provide some relief for this uncle.

So, here's a post both for my own reminder as well as to share with all of you out there who are keen to learn about the Dos and Don'ts when using essential oils on elderly folks (in general above age of 50). Bear in mind, everyone is different, some folks might be veteran oilers (like the uncle i mentioned above who is blessed with a very filial daughter who provided him with all the oils to support his health) which are pretty fine using it as per normal user.

Also, i managed to screen capture one of the crucial topics both to elderly men and women on hormonal support shared by by Dr. Jim Bob Haggerton who is a Chiropractor by trade.

Now, here are the six keypoints i managed to capture.
EO for Mature and Older User (>50) by Dr. Jim Bob Haggerton, a Chiropractor

  1. For older folks, their skin is thinner- dilute the eo and be caution in using hot oils (i felt we can apply the same principles we used for children when we are applying oils for very elderly folks)
  2. Support the gut as less enzyme are produced in their gut ( eo like Digize, Peppermint, Thieves, AromaEase came into my mind) Dr. Bob shared about using Peppermint, Digize and YL supplement like Life 9 for probiotics
  3. Blood sugar support- Slique tea, ecotea are great choices for this
  4. Circulation - as older folks are not moving that well compared to their younger self; thus if we can make them able to move better, thus improve their blood circulation)
Movement is key; movement is Life. Stay active by using the products like:
    Frankincense - circulation, skin
OrthoSport - before activity; use on joints and muscles
Ningxia Red- anti-oxidant; blood flows easily and thus the cells no need to work too hard
Surfurzyme - great for liver support
  5. Hormonal balancing for older folks
Valor- very helpful for men to help them staying grounded and balanced (i.e.,less grumpy)
DHEA is very important to help other hormones work and being distributed properly

Other oils that support hormonal health for both men and women:

  6. Bones, Muscles and Joint
Frankincense, Deep Relief (support muscle), Copaiba(structure) , wintergreen (joint support)
Go slow, be consistent, use the oil daily. Incorporate as a healthy lifestyle. May this brings much agility, hope, health and fun for elderly folks. And all of us(with blessings from above) would be walking on this "senior citizen" path someday too!

Contact me or leave me a message if you like to learn more about Young Living essential oils. I am more than happy to share with you. You can also easily purchase the oils at wholesale price from here.

Thank you for reading and sharing my journey in using essential oils for wellness. May you received abundance blessings and good health daily too!

Cheers!

Hospital stay and recuperating

Hi folks!

ZS is recovering well and faster than I have expected. After first day, his breathing actually stabilized albeit still comes with phelgmy cough and fast breathing.

His staple daily is a packet of Ningxia red sachet, something which also helps to boost his blood regeneration (being a Thalassemia minor, his iron level is typically lower than normal). Iron level does affects a kid's immune system as well. Thus, it's his daily drink for quite sometime now.

Thankful that his hospitalization happened during school holiday for Deepavali, thus it's more manageable for DH and myself(as I need to stay in the hospital with him the entire time).

The two older siblings came over to accompany ZS for awhile before being sent to my parents' home due to his father needed to arrive at work before their daycare is open. Thus, he is not able to send them to the daycare before work.

Now l know what a good gift for a child who is admitted to the hospital, lego toys, it can really occupy them for sometime so that I get to wash up and clean myself or make myself a cup of drinks. Thanks to my sis who came over with a box of lego toys nicely-wrapped in Toy 'R us wrapping paper. It made hospital stay more bearable and happier besides the needle poking, forced-fed med and yucky nebulisers distress every few hours. Especially for ZS who struggled and refused to take the nebulisers and kept telling me that he prefers the lemon and lemongrass essential oils that we used to diffuse at home in his room. What a smart boy!

Essential oils have been truly part of our family daily regime and also our first-aid kit. It has becomes part of our natural lifestyle. So when ZS is hospitalized, I try to apply some oils on him(need to have 2-hr gap in between the medicine, thus I set alarm clock after feeding him med) to fasten his recovery.

As he wasn't able to take in the yucky antibiotic ( he spit and vomited all over me and the two nurses during the force-feed struggles). So his stomach is really bloated. Plus lack of movement and not having much appetite make him constipated. To help his bowel movement as he farted a lot and stomach was kind of bloated, i applied diluted Digize for him and on myself too. The next minute I went to toilet myself but not ZS(guess maybe not much food in his stomach but he drank a lot of fluid like Ningxia Red, plain warm water and soup). The result would have been better if we layered with peppermint(an oil which can enlarge the benefits of the oils previously applied) or ginger essential oil (which I did not bring along to the hospital).

I also alternate and applied diluted Dorazul Azul, Myrtle, RC, Lemon, Eucalyptus Radiata which helps in respiratory condition. I usually apply this oils at night when there is no med given and while he is sleeping so as to aid his breathing and make him sleep better as I felt having a good sleep and letting the body heal by itself is the best medicine ever!
Note: RC is not suitable for kids below 2, so you can use Idaho Balsam Fir or Myrtle instead.

The next morning, one of the nurses who happened to have blocked nose entered our room, and she asked, what is that smell that unblocked her nose? I told her I applied some oils for my son. And glad that it helped her too. There were two nurses who were having running nose and uncovered with mouth mask which I advised them to do so to avoid catching or spreading it to the patients. Too bad they said they couldn't be on mc, maybe due to insufficient staff during Deepavali break.

Back to ZS who is refusing all the antibiotic that needs to be taken orally(not available through drip according to their age), I consulted my trusted certified aromatherapist on what I could do if ZS couldn't take in or tolerate any of the antibiotic given and amazingly I was told oregano can step in to help in this case. No wonder oregano is part of the oil in their Raindrop Technique Massage Kit. I was told to dilute it properly as oregano is a hot oil and apply on ZS's sole(usually the safest and also the easiest to absorb part which we can apply the oils for children) thrice a day.

So this is what i have been doing to help in ZS recuperation. Hopefully the natural remedy fasten the healing process and a less painful and distressing way; and would make his body becomes stronger and his immune to recover better.

If you also like to introduce essential oils as part of your family healthy regime at home, I do suggest you can sign up member yourself to gain the benefits of accumulating points to redeem free oils plus getting all the freebies. Feel free to sign up here and start lessening the need of using medication, instead getting our body to be strong enough to heal on its own:

I am still learning on this journey of natural form of healing and therapy from plants. Should you have any questions, I would love to hear from you.

Cheers to a healthier and happier life!
